Instructions for the Referees
Your Job: Put on and remove heart rate monitors before and after each match, and make sure they stay active and clean throughout the tournament.
1
Before Each Match
-
Pick up the two labeled monitors:
-
Black → goes on the fighter in the black corner
-
Yellow → goes on the fighter in the yellow corner
-
Attach the monitor high on the bicep and pull the rashguard over it.
-
2
After Each Match
-
Remove both monitors from the athletes
-
Place them back on the table for reuse
3
Keeping the Session Alive
-
If there’s a gap between matches:
-
Put the monitor on your own forearm so it stays connected
-
It will stay paired for up to 20 minutes without re-connection
-
4
Swap Straps Every 2 Matches
-
Every 2 matches:
-
Swap out the straps with clean, dry straps for the next fight
-
Let the used straps air dry so you can rotate them back in later
-
-
This helps avoid sweat build-up and keeps them sticky
5
Red Zone Vibrations = Normal
-
If the monitor vibrates or stays red after a fight, that’s fine
-
It will reset automatically when the next athlete wears it
